Our staff donned aprons and their test their culinary skills volunteering at the Ronald McDonald House Charity “Make a Meal”.

The team enjoyed working together to prepare pizzas, salad, sides and dessert and serving pizzas to about 12 families staying at the Monash House. The families have arrived from all over Australia. Some families arrived unexpectedly or as emergencies in hospital with their children and no time to gather provisions.

DFK Benjamin King staff spoke to some of the families as they helped serve dinner, who expressed their thanks for the meal, a simple action on our behalf, but a huge relief to the families in the House. Our staff said ‘It was nice to see the pizzas we prepared brighten up the families’ day and hopefully help them forget the stressful hospital environment even just for a little while.’

A very humbling experience for the team who heard incredible and heart-breaking stories of recovering children.

Ronald McDonald House Charity provides a comfortable place for the families impacted by a serious illness diagnosis. Aiming to provide a range of programs designed to help families stay together and close to the care they need.  Ronald McDonald House Charity is DFK Benjamin King Money’s charity of choice.
