A select group of our future leaders attended the DFK Asia-Pacific Leadership Conference held in Kuala Lumpur.

Angie Karanikolopoulos found the conference was a great experience and a great opportunity to meet and build relationships with so many people from the Asia Pacific regions of the DFK International network.

Daniel Shaw found the group’s immense experience and unique skill set contributed to fresh and innovative ideas to build on in the future and highlighted how different cultures do business.

With 14 delegates from Australia and 17 from New Zealand, India, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and Vietnam it was a great opportunity to interact and learn.

The conference focused on leadership, prompting attendees to reflect inward and outwardly on who they are as leaders or what type of leader they strive to be. Darren Williams said he found good direction on how to move his focus further in the long term to assist in becoming an effective leader. DFK focuses on developing its leadership from within.

“It’s so lovely to meet face to face with both our Australian and international counterparts – it’s always nice to be able to put a face to a name and learn from everyone you meet,” Mary Ellicott said.

Overall the future leaders found the conference a very rewarding experience and a fantastic way to meet our DFK colleagues across the Asia-Pacific region.
